The pursuit of excellence has been a hallmark of the Stoery family for generations, and has converged with a love of figure skating for over 60 years. What first began as an interest in skate sharpening grew into Samuel Stoery's apprenticeship with Olympic Champion Pierre Brunet to learn the art of skate sharpening. Skills and techniques which Jess Stoery continues use today to provide the Distinctive Edge difference.

Jodi Stoery Tipton

Jodi Tipton is PSA (Professional Figure Skaters Association) rated Senior Freestyle, Senior Program Director, and Certified Figures. She has compiled a near perfect USFS testing record with students in all levels of Moves in the Field and Freestyle and coached students through the Senior and National competitive levels with hundreds of medalists emerging during her coaching career.

Jodi is a two-time Upper Great Lakes Regional and Midwestern Sectional medalist and has passed the USFS Senior Gold Freestyle, Figure and Ice Dance tests.  Ballet, dance and theatrical training contribute to her expertise as a show and competitive choreographer.

Jodi earned a Bachelor's Degree in English and Secondary Education and is the mother of six children, two of whom were also competitive skaters.

Jodi is excited to help skaters of all ages and interest levels pursue and attain their skating goals and learn valuable life lessons that can be positively applied to their futures.
